The first decision you must make is which room do you wish to create
your Print Room? Once that is done, you must pick the color you will paint your room and then the theme.
'Preparation' is the single most important word in creating a Print Room.
The importance of proper wall preparation cannot be
emphasized enough. It will contribute not only to the longevity
of your Print Room, but the quality of the overall effect and it will insure proper adherence of the prints to the
walls. The room should be primed and painted with two coats of
the color you
choose. You might also choose to have a faux finish applied. We do not
provide painting services so please if you do it yourself or have a
painter
or artisan do it for you, please make sure it is done with care. Today,
latex emulsion paint is most commonly used. As the
foundation for anything in life is very important, so is the
preparation for the Print Room which can last for years. This is a step by step process.
Our materials are printed on the same grade of paper in
the same mill as were the original borders in 1750. The designs are
exact reproductions and all of our materials are supplied by our
associate, Nicola Wingate-Saul Print Rooms.
You might choose to use one theme only or mix two that would relate with each other such as Birds and Butterflies, Maps and City Scenes, or Hunting and Horse Portraits.
